Translating chat fatigue into clear visual steps
Current chat interfaces rely on endless scrolling, making it hard to track progress or revisit
ideas.
I introduced Timeline: a concept that turns conversations into a clear, structured path. The
focus was on communicating this shift quickly and intuitively through motion.
I challenged myself to create a product launch video that closely matches the style of OpenAI;
focusing on similar pacing, clean cuts, minimal visuals, and a clear, structured narrative.
OpenAI imitation and narrative execution
After defining the concept, I focused on a clear narrative structure, studied and applied OpenAI’s motion style, and expanded my use of AI within my workflow.
The Proces
01. Product Concept. Identified a UX pain point and defined a clear product concept.
02. Concise Narrative. I drafted a narrative following a straightforward structure: Problem → Question → Solution. Ensuring the message is clear.
03. Style & Motion Research. To make the concept video feel like a real OpenAI asset, I researched their motion guidelines, focusing on specific transitions, typography timing, mesh cuts.
04. Shot List & Storyboarding. Next, I mapped out a shot list purely focused on clarity and pacing. Each transition was designed to seamlessly connect the problem statement to the UI solution.
05. Animation & AI Imagery. Used dynamic typography, mesh cuts, and custom sound design, while using AI for specific visuals.
